Ingredients:
1 12 oz. of Midwest Mercantile's Chili Chili pasta
1/2 lb. of ground beef
Approximately 28 oz. of your favorite ready to eat chili and beans. i.e. Hormel
2 jalapeno's (optional)
1 small container of sour cream. (I use the squeeze kind)
1 small onion (optional)
2 medium tomatoes (optional)
1 package of shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Bring 10 cups of water to a rapid boil. Add pasta and cook for 3 minutes.
2. Drain the pasta saving 2 full cups of the water for use later. Do not rinse the pasta. Dump pasta back in the pot and add the 2 cups of water back in.
3. Brown the ground beef and drain, then add ground beef and the chili to the pasta mixing well (I like to use tongs).
4. Simmer for about 5-10 minutes or until hot.
To prepare the garnish:
- Chop tomatoes, onion and jalapeno's and place in separate serving bowls. Set out sour cream and shredded cheese so people can add to their liking.
- When the chili pasta is ready, serve into individual bowls (tongs work best) and let your guests add their own garnish toppings.
